In the presence of the director

In 1963, in the middle of the economic boom, in Borgo Sabotino, near Latina, Italy a nuclear power plant was built. At the time, it was the largest in Europe, received by all with great enthusiasm. While a debate sparked following Silvio Berlusconi’s decision to activate a new nuclear plan with the French, 24 years after the referendum that sanctioned its end, Pannone, at the time a member of the local anti- nuclear committee, explores the history of nuclear power in Latina with the help of old friends and res- idents of the place, tackling this film “in first person, in the form of an intimate diary.” (G. Pannone)
