When the seaside town of Amity is attacked by a dangerous white shark, the town’s police chief (Roy Scheider), a young marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a grizzled ship captain (Robert Shaw) set out on a desperate attempt to slay the beast before it returns to kill someone else. Jaws comes to Pesaro exactly 40 years after its first screening in the US: June 20, 1975. Three-time Oscar winner: Best Sound Mixing, Editing and Original Score (John Williams).

“Getting right to the point, Jaws is an artistic and commercial smash. [...] The creature is not even seen for about 82 minutes, and a subjective camera technique makes his earlier forays excruciatingly terrifying all the more for the invisibility.” A.D. Murphy, Variety, June 18, 1975
