Verifiche incerte. Per una (contro)storia del cinema

Dedicated to the memory of Standish Lawder
An avant-garde journey through some of the most important found footage films that traverse, analyze and deconstruct the works and styles of the earliest maestros of cinema: Muybridge, the Lumière Brothers, Méliès, Griffith, Keaton and Stroheim. This program offers a surprising panorama of (re)visions and (re)interpretations; an exploration of radical essay-films made by some of the greatest experimental filmmakers of all time. The au- dience can abandon itself to the magic of the seventh art, “an invention without a future.”
